HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU CLEAN AND SEAL YOUR DRIVEWAY AND OTHER CONCRETE SURFACES?

This is a question that we get asked daily. How often do I need to really seal my driveway, patio, or walkway?

Most people assume that if you have a new concrete driveway that the task is done and we can forget about that part of the home for a while, but the reality is that concrete needs to be maintained in order to stay healthy and looking beautiful. 

Regardless of the type of concrete finish you have on your patio, walkway, or driveway, concrete needs to be cleaned and sealed regularly starting as soon as the concrete is poured. 

If the concrete isn't sealed on a regular basis, the homeowner risks the threat of water and salt getting into the concrete and causing damage. The longer you wait to seal your concrete surfaces, the more damage you expose the material to. 

Sealing your concrete doesn't have to be a big deal, it costs a very small fraction of the price for a new concrete driveway and can be done every 2-3 years as long as the sealing company uses professional grade products.
